I’m an Elton John fan, what can I say. But as we bid farewell to NXT Redemption and indeed the NXT format as we know it, this song popped into my head. Goodbye to the yellow ring ropes, the drama and the shenanigans. NXT is moving on and evolving to become the new stomping ground for FCW up and comers, swapping yellow ropes for black and giving it’s format an overhaul. Will we still get the crazy storylines and awesome in ring action? We can only hope, but for now we bid the NXT we know and love a fond goodbye.
To see it out in style this week Kaitlyn took on Natalya in another epic match for her. Nattie always seems to bring out the best in Kaitlyn and this was no different, pushing her to her limits and beyond, Kaitlyn put up a hell of a fight against the Hart Dungeon graduate and held her own, even in the face of Nattie yelling ‘I HATE YOU’ at her. Well, that’s not very sportswomanly of you now is it Nattie! Kaitlyn sucked it up however and fought back, powering through some of Nattie’s punishing submissions she eventually turned the tide on the 3rd Generation Diva, reversing a move and scoring herself the pin and an impressive win! The first lady of NXT victorious once again, a fitting end to the yellow brand.
Where will it go from here?
